"Actually Made In - National Distillery Day"
Our journey with the 'Actually Made In' group began when our friends at Campfire Gin joined. The unique selling point of this group, which was initiated by successful independent distilleries like Manchester Gin, Brighton Gin, and Masons Gin, is their commitment to showcasing distilleries with genuine local provenance. These are the distilleries that are actually made where the owners claim the gin is from, a refreshing change in an industry often clouded by smoke and mirrors.
We recently had our first gathering of like-minded distilleries in Manchester. It was a great day of comparing notes and enjoying each other's gin! It is always a great shot in the arm to talk to other distilleries and discuss business. A priority was to create a day for celebrating independent distilleries and allowing the public to associate the brand with the location.
So, National Distillery Day has been created, during which we throw open our doors to the public for free mini tours and sampling, so people can see where the spirits are made. We fully support this movement and believe it is important for consumers to know the difference.
